Greetings,
We sincerely appreciate your continued dedication to your studies and your contribution to the GUGC community.
We would like to inform you of the tuition fee adjustments that will take effect starting from the 2026-2027 academic year.
This decision was made following a thorough review by the Tuition Fee Working Group and has been approved by the Campus Council, the GUGC Board of Directors, and the UGent Board of Governors.
We understand that any adjustment to tuition may raise concerns, and we would like to provide a more detailed explanation of the background and key aspects
1. Background of the Tuition Fee Increase
Since its establishment, GUGC has maintained a tuition freeze for the past 10 years, making continuous efforts to minimize the financial burden on students.
To date, GUGC continues to offer one of the lowest tuition levels among universities at the Incheon Global Campus (IGC).
However, due to recent inflation and the rising costs associated with maintaining and improving the quality of education, including:
- expansion of scholarships
- improvement of classroom and campus facilities
- recruitment of outstanding faculty
- enhancement of educational and research infrastructure
To reduce the immediate impact on students, the adjustment will be implemented in two stages:
- AY 2026–2027 (see Section 2)
- AY 2027–2028 (see Section 3)
2. In 2026: Basic Fixed Fee Adjustment
● For Students Admitted in the Preparatory semester (March 2026)
- March 2026: 2,000,000 KRW (no change)
- At enrolment in AY 2026-2027: Additional 1,000,000 KRW will be added to Basic Fixed Fee
● For Students Admitted in the AY 2026-2027 and Current Students
- At enrolment in AY 2026-2027: Basic Fixed Fee will be adjusted to 3,000,000 KRW
3. In 2027: Per-Credit Tuition Adjustment
Beginning in AY 2027–2028 (including Preparatory Semester, March 2027), the tuition fee per credit will be adjusted to 316,000 KRW.
(The current rate of 300,000 KRW will remain in effect until AY 2026–2027 for current students and for students starting in AY 2026–2027.)

먼저, 학업에 꾸준히 노력해 주시고 GUGC 공동체를 함께 만들어 주시는 여러분께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
본교는 2026–2027학년도부터 적용되는 등록금 조정 사항에 대해 안내 드리고자 합니다.
이번 결정은 등록금 검토 위원회(Tuition Fee Working Group)의 면밀한 검토를 거쳐, Campus Council, GUGC 이사회 및 UGent 본교 이사회의 승인을 통해 확정되었습니다.
등록금과 관련된 변화가 학생 여러분께 부담이나 걱정으로 다가올 수 있다는 점을 잘 알고 있으며, 이에 그 배경과 내용을 보다 충분히 설명드리고자 합니다.
1. 등록금 조정 배경
GUGC는 개교 이후 지난 10년간 등록금을 동결하며, 학생 여러분의 경제적 부담을 최소화하기 위해 지속적으로 노력해 왔습니다.
현재까지도 인천글로벌캠퍼스(IGC) 내 대학들 중 비교적 낮은 수준의 등록금을 유지하고 있습니다.
다만 최근의 물가 상승과 더불어,
- 장학금 확대
- 강의실 및 캠퍼스 시설 개선
- 우수 교원 확보
- 교육 및 연구 인프라 강화
국제적 수준의 교육 환경을 지속적으로 제공하기 위해 등록금 조정이 불가피하게 되었습니다.
학생 여러분의 부담을 최소화하기 위해, 이번 조정은 아래와 같이 2단계에 걸쳐 점진적으로 시행될 예정입니다.
- 2026–2027학년도 (2번 항목 참고)
- 2027–2028학년도 (3번 항목 참고)
● 2026년 3월 Preparatory Semester 입학생
- 2026년 3월: 2,000,000원 (변동 없음)
- 2026–2027학년도 등록 시: 기본 등록금에 1,000,000원 추가
- 2026–2027학년도 등록 시: 기본 등록금 3,000,000원으로 조정
3. 2027년: 학점당 등록금 조정
2027–2028학년도(2027년 3월 Preparatory Semester 포함)부터
학점당 등록금이 316,000원으로 조정됩니다.
(현재 학점당 300,000원은 2026–2027학년도까지 기존 재학생 및 2026–2027학년도 입학생에게 그대로 적용됩니다.)
