Full-Time Postdoctoral Researcher– Ghent University Global Campus

- LA23 – Department of Food safety and food quality, Ghent University, Belgium
Degree: Doctoral degree in one of the following disciplines: Food Science,
Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related field; which proves your knowledge in protein and bioactive peptide science.
Contract period: Initial 1-year appointment, with the possibility of a 1-year extension based on a positive performance evaluation.
Occupancy rate: 100%

Profile of the candidate:
- You hold a Ph.D. in Food Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related discipline.
- You possess expertise and hands-on experience in protein and peptide science, supported by a strong publication record in this area.
- You have practical laboratory experience in peptide science, including techniques for production and purification, enzyme kinetics, molecular docking, cell culture, bioavailability assessment, and encapsulation methods
Job Description
- The position involves conducting research focused on enhancing the bioavailability of bioactive peptides using cell culture models.
- You will also support your supervisor in guiding Ph.D. and master students with their research projects related to bioactive peptides.
- You are expected to publish your research findings in peer-reviewed international journals and actively contribute to national and international conferences
