마린유겐트 코리아 이호준 박사,
국가산학연협력위원회 청년위원 위촉
- 주요 정책에 청년 연구자와 현장 목소리 반영 기대

글로벌 해양 융복합 연구소인 마린유겐트 코리아(Marine@UGent Korea) 소속 이호준 박사가 지난 13일, ‘제13차 국가산학연협력위원회’를 통해 제4기 청년위원으로 위촉됐다.
국무총리 산하 ‘국가산학연협력위원회’는 산업교육과 산학연 협력 관련 주요 정책과 계획을 심의·조정하는 역할을 수행한다.
이번에 새로 위촉된 위원들은 전문지식과 경험이 풍부한 교수, 연구자, 기업인, 청년 등 16명으로 구성됐으며, 임기는 2028년 4월까지다.
위원회에서는 미래 전략산업 분야의 인재 양성과 대학-기업의 협력 확대, 현장 중심 교육 강화, 지역 기반 산학연 협력 체계 구축 등 국가 차원의 주요 정책 방향이 논의된다.
이호준 박사는 청년위원으로서 청년 연구자를 대표해 현장의 목소리를 정책에 반영하고, 미래 산업과 연계한 산학연 협력 활성화와 인재 양성 정책 논의에 참여할 예정이다.
이 박사는 평소 환경·해양바이오 중심의 지속 가능한 환경 기술, 생태독성 평가 등 다양한 연구를 수행하고 있으며, 국제 공동연구와 국제표준화 활동을 통해 연구 성과의 확산에도 기여하고 있다.
또한 이 박사는 그 노력을 인정받아 ‘2025 대한민국 인재상’과 ‘2024 환경보전 유공 표창’을 수상했으며, 인천시 블루카본 자문위원과 ISO 국제표준기구 대한민국 위원으로 활동하고 있다.
이호준 박사는 “청년 연구자와 현장의 목소리가 정책에 실질적으로 반영될 수 있도록 책임감을 가지고 활동하겠다”며 “산학연 협력 생태계 활성화와 미래 인재 양성, 그리고 연구 성과의 사회적 확산에 기여할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Dr. Hojun Lee of Marine@UGent Korea Appointed as Youth Member of the National Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Committee

Dr. Hojun Lee of Marine@UGent Korea, a global marine convergence research institute, was appointed as a member of the 4th Youth Committee through the 13th National Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Committee meeting held on the 13th.
The National Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Committee under the Prime Minister’s Office is responsible for reviewing and coordinating major policies and plans related to industrial education and cooperation among industry, academia, and research institutions.
The newly appointed members consist of 16 individuals, including professors, researchers, business leaders, and young professionals with extensive expertise and experience. Their term will continue through April 2028.
The committee discusses major national policy directions, including talent development in future strategic industries, expansion of university-industry collaboration, strengthening practice-oriented education, and establishing region-based industry-academia-research cooperation systems.
As a Youth Committee member, Dr. Lee will represent young researchers by bringing voices from the field into policy discussions and participating in deliberations on talent development and the advancement of industry-academia-research cooperation linked to future industries.
Dr. Lee has actively conducted research on sustainable environmental technologies centered on environmental and marine biotechnology, as well as ecotoxicological assessment. She has also contributed to the dissemination of research outcomes through international collaborative research and international standardization activities.
In recognition of her contributions, Dr. Lee received the 2025 Korea Talent Award and the 2024 Environmental Conservation Merit Award. She currently serves as a Blue Carbon Advisory Committee member for Incheon Metropolitan City and as a Korean representative to the ISO International Organization for Standardization.
“I will carry out this role with a strong sense of responsibility to ensure that the voices of young researchers and practitioners are meaningfully reflected in policy,” said Dr. Lee. “I will strive to contribute to revitalizing the industry-academia-research cooperation ecosystem, fostering future talent, and expanding the social impact of research outcomes.”
