Degree Access Requirements

Ghent University Global Campus admits highly talented students with great potential from a variety of academic backgrounds. We are pleased that you are considering applying to a bachelor degree programme on our campus. We accept both South Korean and international qualifications for application. The following documents must be submitted along with your high school diploma and transcripts.

Online Aptitude Test

Ghent University Global Campus requires all applicants take an Online Aptitude Test. The aptitude test is used as the primary entry pathway, and it reflects the minimum level of knowledge required for university admission. The Online Aptitude Test consists of 20 questions concerning two subjects (mathematics and chemistry) to be completed in 120 minutes. It is possible to take the test multiple times. However, each instance costs $75. The minimum passing score for the aptitude test is 14/20 and your score must be submitted with your application. The following items are required to take the test: web camera, passport, credit card (Mastercard or VISA).

Language Requirements

In addition to the academic entry requirements, you will also need to satisfy the English language entry requirements. Requirements are already fulfilled if you have graduated from one of the accredited high schools taught in English (link to high schools accredited). Otherwise, you will need to submit one of the following standardized test scores:
  • TOEFL IBT 72 / IELTS 6.0
  • IB 5 (SL score of 5 in English (as Language A or B)
  • SAT 500 (Reading & Writing)
  • Su-neung test ENGLISH rank 1 or 2

Headmaster’s Recommendation Program

This program is only designed for students who have completed education in a Korean high school accredited by the Ministry of Korean Education. Academic references are required to apply through this program.

Credit Exemption

For credit exemptions, admitted students are required to have obtained 60 credits, whether it be in one academic year or several. Such students may request the Curriculum Committee to provide them with an exemption from certain course units of the study program. Credit exemptions are requested at the first week of August and the schedule will be announced through Student Services.

To apply for exemption, you need to submit the following documents in English.
  • Diplomas and/or transcripts (official copy and a legalized translation)
  • detailed description of the courses taken (syllabus)

* A decision will be made following review of your file by the Faculty Curriculum Committee . Please note that you may check the outcome by email. In order to complete enrollment, tuition fee and enrollment fee need to be settled beforehand. After payment, the Campus registrar will make the granted exemptions in your curriculum.
